Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), the specialist corporate insurer overseeing Allianz Group, has appointed Ulrich Kadow as Canada’s chief agent, beginning immediately.

He last served as global head of package and multiline, where he helped develop “the mid-market property, liability, and engineering business in Canada, Asia, South Africa, Australia and Denmark.”

Kadow will work out of the organization’s Toronto office, reporting to AGCS’ president and CEO Arthur Moossmann, president and CEO.

“Canada is an area of strategic importance for Allianz. Successful initiatives such as the introduction of our mid-market package & multiline product, the start-up of the entertainment practice, the creation of dedicated financial lines teams for professional indemnity, directors & officers, and errors & omissions, and the solid growth of products in marine, aviation, property, liability, energy and engineering underscore our commitment to the region,” Moossmann said in a statement.

Kadow holds CPCU designation, and obtained both an MBA from Columbia Business School and an M.S. in Computer Science from University of Technology Munich TUM.  He has been with AGCS since 2006, serving in a range of positions throughout Europe, Asia and North America.

AGCS operates as Allianz Group’s corporate and specialty insurance carrier, and boasts offerings in Marine, Space and Aviation, Energy, Financial Lines and Mid-Corporate and Property insurance.
