HDI Global Specialty SE has appointed Thierno Bah (pictured) as national underwriting manager, professional liability in Canada.

As part of his appointment, Bah will join the company’ financial lines team; he will be responsible for expanding HDI Global Specialty’s existing architects and engineers book and will oversee the development of the company’s E&O offering in Canada.

Bah joins HDI Global Specialty from Travelers Canada, where he was responsible for developing the company’s architect and engineer’s portfolio. He has a CIP designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada and is a graduate of the University of Quebec.

“We are delighted that Thierno is joining our team and his appointment reflects our ambitions to grow and expand our offering across Canada in a number of key specialist areas,” commented HDI Global Specialty Canada head of financial lines underwriting Oren Schemool. “His experience and insights into this market will be a major asset as we look to expand our footprint and build upon our existing portfolio.”
