Chubb has announced Michelle McLaughlin as executive vice-president and property manager for its North America commercial insurance arm.

As executive vice-president and property manager, McLaughlin will administer the retail commercial property and package property insurance business that serves the middle market in North America. She will report to Chubb Commercial Insurance executive vice-president and chief underwriting officer Paul Lewis.

“Michelle is going to provide enormous value in her new role,” said Chubb North America Property division chairman Derek Talbott. “She will play a vital part in executing Chubb’s property strategy in North America, and I’m confident that her broad industry experience will enable her to meet the evolving risks of our global property customers.”

“Michelle’s deep underwriting knowledge and her proven leadership capabilities will be instrumental in focusing on the growth of the organization while helping our commercial property clients in North America protect their assets,” added Lewis. “I look forward to working with her to build our future property business.”

McLaughlin has 25 years of experience at Chubb, most recently serving as package property manager for commercial insurance. She is a recipient of a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University.

McLaughlin succeeds Edward Radzinski, who retires at the end of August after serving Chubb for 39 years.

“For more than three decades, Ed played a key role in developing the property underwriting discipline, capabilities and products for the organization,” commented Lewis. “I want to express my deepest thanks and appreciation for his steady hand in developing our people and our business, and we wish him well in his retirement.”
