Beazley head of aviation Dirk Froese is the newest member of the Lloyd's Market Association’s (LMA) aviation committee.

Froese has been elected following a recent ballot at Lloyd’s, while other aviation heads have been re-elected. Chaucer’s Peter Wakefield, Talbot’s Christopher Collins, and Froese will all serve a four-year term.

Meanwhile, continuing as committee chair is Faraday head of aviation Paul Maguire.

“I am pleased to welcome Dirk Froese to the committee,” commented LMA senior executive James Straker-Nesbit. “He joins a number of highly knowledgeable and experienced senior market practitioners, whose combined expertise continues to be an invaluable asset.”

LMA’s aviation committee, which acts as the representative voice of the Lloyd’s aviation market, will continue to address cyber risk knowledge gaps as part of its 2018 priorities. It is also examining how new technology such as drones or unmanned aerial vehicles will integrate into the market’s existing frameworks.
