Arrowhead Intermediaries, one of the world’s largest delegated authority platforms, has announced the appointment of Steven Beard (pictured) as chief executive officer, international. Beard will join the firm in February 2026 and will be based in London, reporting to Arrowhead Intermediaries CEO Steve Boyd.
Arrowhead Intermediaries operates a global MGA and broking platform, providing access to over 400 carriers and 190 insurance programmes. The group is known for its focus on specialty and delegated authority business, supporting entrepreneurial underwriting and broking teams. Arrowhead’s international remit includes entities such as Nexus Group, a leading specialty MGA, and Bridge Specialty International, a specialty broking business with operations in the UK, US, and other key markets.
Beard brings extensive experience across the insurance and financial services sectors. He most recently served as group president at Charles Taylor, a global insurance services provider. Prior to that, Beard held senior executive positions at Ardonagh Group, Corant Group, and RFIB, where he was involved in strategic growth, operational transformation, and M&A activity. His broader career includes roles at Xchanging, Agilisys, Globalwave, and Redwave, giving him a track record in both insurance and technology-driven businesses.
Arrowhead has been expanding its international footprint in recent years, acquiring and integrating specialty MGAs and brokers to build out its delegated authority and specialty risk capabilities. The group has invested in digital platforms and data analytics to support underwriting performance and compliance, while continuing to add new programmes and carrier relationships across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
