A major industry name is joining Aston Lark come October.

Appointed as UK retail managing director, Warren Dickson (pictured) is bringing more than three decades of insurance expertise to Aston Lark. His credentials include time spent as Carole Nash sales & marketing director, Fish Insurance managing director, and Chase Templeton chief executive.

“Warren is a fantastic hire for us,” commented group CEO Peter Blanc, who noted that he and group managing director Stuart Rootham have been discussing for some time how important it is for Aston Lark’s core UK retail regional business to have dedicated leadership.

Blanc, referring to Dickson’s experience, declared: “His track record of helping businesses drive strong organic growth is hugely impressive and his knowledge of the employee benefits intermediary market will be invaluable to us as we have strong ambition in that area. Stuart and I look forward to welcoming him on board soon.”

It was highlighted that during his Chase Templeton stint, the specialist broker made 75 acquisitions and overhauled its sales distribution model before it was eventually snapped up by the Ardonagh Group.

Lifting the lid on his decision to accept the UK retail managing director role, a “delighted” Dickson said he has been admiring Aston Lark’s development from afar.

“It is clear from my conversations with Peter and Stuart that they are really building something special,” he went on to say. “They speak with such passion about the business, and I am privileged that they have entrusted me to take the UK retail arm on its next chapter.

“The potential is enormous across their four core areas of focus – commercial, schemes, private clients, and employee benefits – and the ability to collaborate with our group colleagues in Ireland and in London Market & Specialty is also hugely helpful. I can’t wait to get started!”

Meanwhile the group chief executive added that the business has practically doubled in size since the 2017 merger between Aston Scott and Lark. “Our future plans are equally ambitious,” stated Blanc.
