BMS names UK and international CFO

Reinsurance broker BMs has announced the appointment of Morna Leather as chief financial officer for UK and international, effective summer 2023. Leather will be based in London, reporting to group finance director Nick Moss.

In her new role, Leather will support BMS UK CEO Ian Gormley and international CEO Nick Gillett. Leather has more than 25 years in the industry, most recently serving as CFO of Ardonagh Global Partners. She also held several senior roles at RFIB, Aon Benfield, and PwC.

According to her LinkedIn, Leather holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Aberdeen. She also holds a chartered accountant certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

BMS Group finance director Nick Moss said that Leather’s appointment brings a wealth of experience to the firm.

Her insight, strong interpersonal skills and deep understanding of the industry will assist us in maintaining the smooth running of our business. We are confident that Morna's contributions will help ensure that we continue to grow and thrive as a leading global broker,” Moss said.
