Commercial managing agent Centrix has joined the Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA).

Centrix said that its membership with the MGAA will allow it to expand its UK presence, as well as help it connect with the London market. It also said in a release that the MGAA was “a natural fit” to help Centrix grow its market share, since the MGAA is the only association in the UK that represents and promotes the managing general agent (MGA) sector and its members.

Founded in 2019, Centrix focuses on the commercial combined and property owners’ market.

“As a young MGA I believe it is important to be a member of the UK’s only MGA trade association,” said Centrix founder and managing director Mark Hands. “The MGAA’s proposition, with a strong focus on training, promotion of its members and their products, and a keen focus on raising professional standards, is very much in line with our ethos as a business.”

Hands added that as a regional MGA, Centrix is keen to leverage any opportunity to trade in the London market – the MGAA can help Centrix access the businesses and events it needs to succeed, the managing director said.

“I’m really pleased to welcome Centrix to the MGAA community. One of our priorities for 2021 is to extend the Association’s regional footprint and ensure that we represent the interests of MGAs throughout the UK,” commented MGAA CEO Mike Keating.
