It looks like Commercial Express is celebrating its 20th anniversary by ramping up.

The managing general agent, which recently welcomed Mark Humphreys and Helen Holyoake in their capacity as senior technical underwriter and head of risk and compliance, respectively, has added another name to its roster.

Bringing two decades of insurance industry experience to the West Midlands business is Phil Caffery (pictured). Described as “a welcome addition” to Commercial Express, the Birmingham native has been tapped to serve as regional account manager for the Midlands and East of England. His credentials include time spent at Towergate and Aviva.

“Extremely pleased” to have come onboard, Caffery noted: “It has been clear from day one that the company empower their staff, and this was something that hugely attracted me to the role. Commercial Express put their employee and agency relationships at the forefront of everything they do.

“I am very much looking forward to working with my colleagues and panel of brokers to develop new and existing relationships. I am also excited by the prospect of promoting our unique products and niche offerings, in the form of CE Learning.”

Last month Commercial Express announced the arrival of Bollington Underwriting alumnus Ian Bartnett, who now holds the position of regional account manager for the North West and Yorkshire.
