Global insurance brokerage Gallagher, has today announced the appointment of Kimberley Kealing (pictured) to the role of managing director of its brand partners team within its UK division. Kealing has worked in this team since 2016, having originally joined Heath Lambert in 2004 before its acquisition by Gallagher in 2011, and working in a variety of claims leadership roles for the RSA.

In her new role, Kealing will be responsible for overseeing a 50-strong team and optimising opportunities with existing partners while developing new strategic partnerships and increasing operational performance and product development.

Gallagher’s brand partners team currently manages affinity relationships with some of the UK’s largest insurers and financial services brands including Direct Line and Santander. Speaking on her appointment, Kealing said she is delighted to have the opportunity to lead the team that she has been a part of since 2016 and to build on the growth that the team has achieved in recent years.

“Our Brand Partners offering is built on a collaborative approach,” she said. “By working with us, our partners are able to give customers a positive brand experience by directing them to an alternative source of insurance rather than having to refuse cover. We can offer quotes on non-standard homes, with the potential for other classes if clients require. With the current challenging underwriting environment, this gives our partners increased flexibility to help new and existing customers.”

Managing director, private clients & personal lines of Gallagher’s UK Retail Division, Susan Young said that ensuring that Gallagher invests in its people and expertise is a vital part of the business’s long-term growth strategy.

“It’s great to see how the talent within our UK team allows us to find [the] next generation of leaders within Gallagher,” Young said. “Kimberley has expert market knowledge and the ability to develop strong relationships with her client-first approach - and is the natural choice to take over the helm of this growing part of our UK Retail division.”
