Green Insurance Group (Greens), the South Eastern hub broker for Global Risk Partners (GRP), has today announced that it has acquired 100% of the share capital of Manor Insurance Services (Manor).

Hastings-based retail broker, Manor, was founded in 1990 and offers SME and personal lines products including home, motor, charity, business and travel. The staff at Manor, including the owner Ian Mantel, will stay with the brokerage and transfer into Greens’ regional central office in Bexhill shortly after completion.

Greens first became part of GRP in June 2017 and since this time has successfully completed seven deals. In 2019, Greens acquired Millards, Clifton Morley and Reid Briggs and its acquisition of Manor is the first of 2020 for the business, which has been providing insurance services in the Kent and Sussex region for over 40 years.

Commenting on this acquisition, Duncan Coleman, CEO of Greens, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ian and his colleagues to Greens. Manor is the latest in a number of targets we have identified and now completed for the South Eastern region, and our appetite for more acquisitions is as strong as ever.”

Group managing director of GRP, Mike Bruce added: “Duncan is hugely ambitious for Greens to become a major player in the South East of the UK, and he has our full support and backing to continue driving growth organically and by further strategic acquisitions.”
