There were several insurance categories at the 2019 Moneyfacts Consumer Awards, and here we give you the lowdown on who went home victorious.

Held at the Royal Lancaster London last week, the event recognised financial brands based on the combined results of a massive consumer survey and expert analysis by a Moneyfacts panel. Below are the winners of the insurance awards.

  • Pet Insurance Provider of the Year – Agria Pet Insurance
  • Car Insurance Provider of the Year – RAC Insurance
  • Health Insurance Provider of the Year – Aviva UK Health
  • Life Insurance Provider of the Year (Direct) – Beagle Street
  • Travel Insurance Provider of the Year – ASDA Money
  • Home Insurance Provider of the Year – Admiral
  • Best Claims Service – Agria Pet Insurance

The other awards involved building societies, as well as loan and mortgage providers. There were a total of 30 categories.

“We are delighted to have had another record-breaking year with our Moneyfacts Consumer Survey, and with over 180,000 surveys completed it becomes the largest survey of its kind in the UK,” said digital head Michelle Monck. “At Moneyfacts.co.uk we believe consumers need to have the right information and be given a voice about their experiences of different financial brands, products, and services.

“Their honest responses to this survey along with our technical knowledge means this year’s Moneyfacts Consumer Awards continues to recognise not just the best products in their areas, but also excellent service as well. The publication of this year’s winners and finalists represents those financial brands consumers might want to consider when comparing financial products.”

Meanwhile the Agria Pet Insurance team (pictured), which won the same two awards in 2018, was beaming with pride.

“We are thrilled to have been awarded both accolades for the second year running,” commented managing director Simon Wheeler. “The entire Agria Pet Insurance team is dedicated to doing the very best for owners and their pets, and we’re so proud that our passion and hard work has been recognised again by consumers and the Moneyfacts panel.”

Agria Pet Insurance claims manager Helen Moore, for her part, believes winning the best claims service award for the second consecutive year is “absolute testament” to what she described as an incredible team.
