Insurance law firm Keoghs will now have all the bases covered in the UK.

It’s been announced that, subject to regulatory approval, Belfast-based Caldwell Warner is joining Keoghs this summer – marking an important milestone for the Bolton-headquartered firm whose latest expansion means it will now be present in all UK jurisdictions.

Last year Keoghs added Glasgow to its roster of locations.

“Expanding into Northern Ireland represents another key step towards our strategic mission of becoming the preeminent law firm to the UK insurance sector,” stated chief executive John Whittle.

“Insurers need UK-wide coverage from their legal partners to ensure consistency and quality across jurisdictions. Welcoming Caldwell Warner to Keoghs strengthens our offering and capabilities and we look forward to introducing our clients to our new colleagues soon.”

Keoghs also has offices in Coventry, Liverpool, London, Manchester, and Southampton. With 50 years of experience and a workforce of 1,700 people, it provides the full range of legal and claims services to the insurance industry.

Caldwell Warner, meanwhile, represents a number of major UK insurers across multiple lines of claim. The insurance-focused practice came to life in 1975.

Commenting on the consolidation, Caldwell Warner managing partner Ivan Warner said: “We are delighted to be joining what we believe to be the most progressive law firm in the UK insurance sector. Their market-leading drive on innovation and genuine focus on their people and values assures me that Keoghs will be a great home for us and our clients.”
