UK managing general agent Markerstudy Insurance Services Limited (MISL) has given its senior management team a boost with the addition of operational performance head Ann Pelaez (pictured above) and MGA – head of finance Steve Smith (pictured below).
Reporting to group chief operating officer Dan Fiehn, Pelaez will be in charge of a root and branch review at MISL, incorporating latest technology and training methods to ensure business processes are streamlined and efficient as well as improving the customer journey.
“Our customers’ experience is at the heart of everything we do, and Ann is the perfect candidate to embed this further within the business,” commented Fiehn.
“Ann has been a loyal colleague since joining Markerstudy nearly 11 years ago, and is a true customer champion; the past 18 months has seen her develop a Voice of Customer team, and I’m excited to see the introduction of many new initiatives to put Markerstudy at the forefront of user experience.”
Smith, meanwhile, will be under the leadership of group finance director Keith Barber.
“Steve joined Markerstudy nearly five years ago, as part of the Chaucer acquisition,” noted Barber. “In that time his ‘can do’ attitude has cemented him as a pivotal member of the team and this promotion is thoroughly deserved.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Steve and wish him every success in this enhanced role.”
The MGA – head of finance brings a combined 16 years of service with Markerstudy and Chaucer to the post. He will take responsibility for the MGA finance team, including Markerstudy Direct Limited.
