Qlaims introduces new chief commercial officer

There is a new face for broker partners to reach out to at insurance holding company Qlaims, the name behind MGA Qlaims Insurance and tech-focused QlaimsTech.

Taking the role of chief commercial officer is Liz Latter (pictured), who will be responsible for the company’s business partnerships. She may be a familiar face to many given that she has spent more than 25 years in the general insurance market in the UK and has worked for such established companies as Broker Network, Lloyd’s, Hastings Direct and more.

Now, making the switch from Saga Services where she was commercial director, she believes she is joining her new company at a time when its proposition is arguably more important than ever.

“Insurance businesses have invested in front-end customer acquisition, whether that’s via brokers or directly, and there has been significant improvements in customer experience,” she said. “However, the claims functions often lag behind in their ability to support customers, and at a time when customers most need support. What excites me about the Qlaims’ proposition is that it’s focused on helping customers through that claims process, acting as their advocate and speeding up their settlement.

“Over the last few months the industry has had little choice but to rely on technology to assess, document and process claims, and that’s clearly here to stay. The QlaimsTech proposition offered to brokers of Qlaims Insurance enables them to deliver a superior service to their customers - facilitating faster settlements, as well as reducing costs to insurers. It’s a simple, smart and secure solution that is well positioned during this time of change to help brokers differentiate themselves from the competition.”

Her appointment was also welcomed by Qlaims founder and chief executive Malcolm Harvey who noted that Latter is “just what Qlaims needs” as it moves to the next phase of its development.
