The Worldwide Broker Network (WBN), the world’s largest global network of independent insurance and benefits brokers, has announced the appointment of Shane Carter (pictured above) as global operations manager. Carter will report to Olga Collins, CEO of WBN.

Carter’s appointment is part of WBN’s plan to build out its headquarters team with specialist talent to support the scope and scale growth of the network. He has more than 20 years of industry experience.

Carter joins WBN from member firm USI, where he served as national operations leader for select commercial. Prior to joining USI, Carter oversaw commercial and personal insurance underwriting and operations at RY Specialty. He has also held underwriting and business development positions at Nationwide E&S/Specialty and Kemper Insurance.

“We are the largest global broker network, and as such need to be committed to constantly working to enhance the service we offer our member firms,” said Collins (pictured below). “Shane is a highly experienced insurance and operations veteran, and I am very excited to have him part of the team.”

“I am delighted to be joining WBN at an exciting time in its growth,” Carter said. “We are determined to continue to create an environment and infrastructure where service quality is at the core. I look forward to working with Olga and the team.”
