Responding to the burgeoning demand for cyber insurance, NMU has augmented its suite of solutions with the launch of a computer, data, and cyber policy.

The all-in-one policy replaces NMU’s existing computer product and provides comprehensive protection for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Available sections of cover are hardware, data corruption, data breach expense, cybercrime, cyber liability, and loss of business income (from a cyber event) – protecting assets and against cyber risks.

When an incident occurs, “computer cyber insurance” policyholders will also have access to expert advice such as IT, legal, forensic, and media relations support.

“Data breaches aren’t just a big business problem; small and medium-sized businesses with fewer data security resources are particularly vulnerable,” commented NMU executive director Nick Limb.

He continued: “Firms such as accountants and lawyers might be perceived to hold more sensitive data, but all businesses could be at risk from a cyberattack, ransomware attacks, or data breach by hackers, viruses, or errant employees.”

NMU has over 100 specialist professionals based in 10 offices across the UK and Ireland.
