It has been a busy 2021 for iRevolution Group. In a year-end review, the broking firm highlighted that among the key developments of the last 12 months, it founded Utilink with Sam Riches at the helm as MD.

Utilink Consulting’s business involves reviewing a household’s energy suppliers to help people save money. Headquartered in Sunderland, the firm doubled its workforce in 2021.

In October, iRevolution snapped up BG Insurance, which expanded its expertise in non-standard motor broking.

Manchester-based iRevolution is the parent company of several organisations within the insurance sector, including insurance brokers, lead generation and call transfer specialists. Founded in 2013, the group has experienced record growth this year, with team sizes consistently increasing.

According to iRevolution, things are looking promising for its future growth. The acquisition of Utilink highlights its growth across the insurance market. The broking group said that it’s on track to reach its target of £100 million in gross written premiums in five years’ time.

“We are happy to have seen growth in each of the group’s businesses and have been recruiting throughout the pandemic,” said Mark Rigby, CEO of iRevolution Group. “It’s been a busy and a very successful year and we are excited to see what 2022 brings.”
