Patrick Jordan, who started his insurance career in 1991 at Steamship Mutual P&I Club, is now divisional director for marine at Ed.
The global reinsurance, wholesale, and specialty broker said Jordan reports to marine managing director Heather Clarkson effective immediately. The London-based executive makes the switch from Lloyd and Partners, where he had placed hull & machinery, protection & indemnity, marine liability, yachts, builders risks, and ports and terminals covers since 2010.
Jordan’s over a quarter of a century of insurance experience also includes holding senior broking roles at UIB and Benfield.
“Patrick is a fantastic addition to the team, with longstanding and extensive experience in marine lines,” commented Clarkson. “We see significant opportunity to expand our portfolio, and I am very pleased we have attracted an individual of Patrick’s quality to help coordinate our growth strategy.
