Cauthen Consulting Companies, LLC, operating under the name Tactical Reinsurance Consultants (TacticalRe), has officially announced its launch as a new player in the reinsurance advisory market, based in Overland Park, KS.

The firm offers strategy execution services for dealers, reinsurance companies, third-party administrators, and insurers, focusing on creating and implementing methodologies aimed at boosting earnings.

Randy Cauthen, the founder of Tactical Reinsurance Consultants, comes to the role with a 35-year background spanning F&I development, retail development, and franchise dealership management.

Specializing in the motor sector, his expertise has been key for reinsurance companies, dealership financial statements, and dealer owners, with achievements into the hundreds of millions.

Prior to joining the new company, Cauthen worked as division vice president for Acrisure Protection Group from November 2021 to April 2024. He also had a prior tenure at CNA National as vice president for the Western Division.

Besides these positions, he has also held previous roles at Tricor Automotive Group, Interstate National Dealer Services, Automobile Protection Corp. (APCO), Southwest Automotive Management, Ryan Dealer Group, and Balch Motor Company.

Cauthen’s range of experience also includes serving as a board member and professional advisor for non-controlled foreign corporations (NCFC) and controlled foreign corporations (CFC), as well as holding advisory roles for dealer owned warranty corporations (DOWC) and dealer participation programs (Retro).

What will Tactical Reinsurance Consultants do?

Positioning itself as an independent entity from administrators, agents, and insurance underwriters, Tactical Reinsurance Consultants aims to enhance client profits through business analysis and tailored plan execution.

“We understand that reinsurance can be complex, time-consuming, and costly if not managed correctly,” Cauthen said, outlining the company’s mission. “Our mission is to simplify this process, allowing you to increase your profits and focus on other essential aspects of your business, regardless of your reinsurance format or F&I provider.”

“With over 35 years of experience helping dealers grow their reinsurance company’s profitability, you can rest assured that your reinsurance needs will be handled effectively, leaving you free to explore new opportunities and grow your business,” he said.
