Legal expenses insurer ARAG plc has made some of its more popular insurance products available on the Acturis platform.

The Acturis launch gives brokers access to ARAG’s family, commercial and property owners’ legal expenses insurance products, in addition to the insurer’s home emergency offering, through the Acturis e-trading system.

“For ARAG, this is as much about ease and speed of trading for our partners as it is reach. Many of our brokers already use Acturis, so this will really streamline how they deliver our solutions to their clients,” said ARAG UK sales manager Matt Warren. “It will also make ARAG’s products available and easier to access for new brokers, and I think our keen pricing, enhanced commission and access to free online training tools will make this a very attractive proposition on the platform.”

“We are thrilled to be working in partnership with ARAG to bring their suite of legal expenses insurance products to the Acturis platform and broker community,” added Acturis product lead Max Dickerson. “ARAG is a well-known name in the industry and the benefits that Acturis offers to both them, in terms of distribution, and to brokers, in availability, efficiency and ease of use, makes an impact for all concerned.”

A release mentioned that both ARAG and Acturis are looking at adding further products from the former’s portfolio on the latter’s platform.

ARAG has been expanding the availability of its products in recent months. In November, the insurer made its after-the-event (ATE) insurance policies for commercial contract disputes available through the Accelerate platform of ATE insurance broker TheJudge. The Accelerate platform consists of A-rated insurers and allows firms to conduct a rapid market search for ATE insurance quotations.
