Cytora appoints Clive Buesnel to advisory board

Cytora has expanded its global advisory board by appointing Clive Buesnel, as it moves to support its continued global growth.

Buesnel, currently the managing partner international of Insurance Advisory Partners, brings extensive experience in strategic transformation within the global insurance industry. He most recently served as chief executive of Tysers, which was acquired by AUB Group. He also previously served as vice chairman and UK head of insurance at Deloitte, as well as a founding member of Xchanging.

The advisory board comprises senior leaders from the commercial and specialty insurance sectors, including: Bronek Masojada, chair of SiriusPoint and former CEO of Hiscox; Kelly Lyles, board member at Convex and Howden Group; Jeffrey Hayman, chair of R&Q Insurance Holdings and former board member of Zurich Insurance Group; Emmanuel Clarke, chair BMS and former CEO of PartnerRe; John Bruno, president of Xeros and former group COO and CEO of data & analytic services of Aon; Bill Bloom, former CIO at both The Hartford and Travelers; Thomas Huerlimann, board member of Hiscox and former COE of Zurich Global Corporate; James Platt, operating partner at Trimstone and former group COO of Aon; Adrian Brown, former UK CEO RSA; Karen Green, board member of Miller Insurance Services and Phoenix Group Holdings; Laurent Rosseau, CEO of Guy Carpenter EMEA, and Alan Morgan, former senior partner at McKinsey and head of financial services.

The appointment of Buesnel follows a period of significant growth for Cytora, highlighted by partnerships with Chubb and Arch.

Commenting on his new role, Buesnel expressed his excitement about working with the Cytora team as the company moves to digitalization.

“There is a major opportunity ahead to build a larger and more impactful risk and insurance industry,” Buesnel remarked.
