Melissa Collett

Melissa Collett is chief executive officer of Insurtech UK - the trade association for the community of insurtech startups in the UK.

Collett was formerly executive director of Professional Standards at the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), leading its professional standards, ethics and conduct activity for the insurance and financial planning professions.

She has an extensive background in consumer and legal issues. She spent over a decade at the Financial Ombudsman Service, was a director at Fairer Finance and sat as a tribunal judge. Collett is also qualified solicitor, specialising in insurance law at Hogan Lovells. In 2022 she co-authored Female Determination, a collection of portraits and interviews with inspiring women.
