Abacus Life has rebranded as Abacus Global Management, which the company says reflects its broader global presence and expanded financial services offerings.
The company, which operates in alternative asset management, will continue providing solutions in life insurance, asset management, wealth management, and technology under its new name. The transition takes effect immediately.
Chief executive officer Jay Jackson (pictured above) said the rebrand represents an important step in the company’s strategy to integrate advanced technology into financial services.
Prior to the rebrand, the group received regulatory approval from Luxembourg for its acquisition of Carlisle Management Co. S.C.A. The deal, completed in December, brought in about $2 billion in assets under management to its ABL Wealth division.
Abacus Global Management now operates through four divisions: Abacus Life Solutions, Abacus Asset Group, ABL Wealth, and ABL Tech.
Since 2004, Abacus has purchased over $10 billion in life insurance policy face value, assisting clients in maximizing the value of their insurance assets. Abacus Life Solutions focuses on consumer financial security through retirement products while also serving as a partner to institutions.
Abacus Asset Group focuses on asset management for institutional investors and select private clients. It specializes in uncorrelated and longevity-based assets, fixed-income replacement strategies, and free-cash-flow investment solutions.
ABL Wealth provides a data-driven approach to wealth management. The division works with financial advisors to create customized financial plans based on clients’ health, longevity, and financial well-being.
ABL Tech develops platforms using proprietary health and longevity data to enhance financial services for pension funds, government agencies, and insurance-related businesses. The division has created products that enable real-time mortality verification, participant location services, and secondary life insurance market transactions.
