Acceptance Insurance is helping a local community effort in Phoenix, AZ to give back to veterans.

Specifically, the insurance agency matched dollar-for-dollar donations made by local radio station 98 KUPD in January to provide 2,000 bus passes to veterans in the area. The fundraising campaign was held in conjunction with the Maricopa County StandDown Alliance.

Veterans will able to use the bus passes throughout the year to get to work, school, the VA and anywhere else.

“As an Army veteran myself, being able to provide this transportation means a great deal,” said Acceptance Insurance chief insurance officer Juliet Diiorio.

“We are so proud to be able to support this event which provides basic need items, in addition to the bus passes, to Phoenix’s veterans. Acceptance is always looking for the most meaningful ways in which we can give back to our communities. Helping our veterans is just one way we are excited to contribute.”

Maricopa County StandDown is Arizona’s largest veterans outreach event.

In a release, Acceptance Insurance thanked both Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance and 98 KUPD “for the opportunity to give back to the men and women who have served our country.”
