Multiline property and casualty insurance giant ACE Group announced on Wednesday (November 25) the appointment of their new Head of Trade Credit for ACE Global Markets, Julian Hudson.

Hudson would be tasked with the continued development, profitability, and growth of the company’s global trade credit arm, an area of risk where ACE is renowned as one of the best and most experienced in the world.

Hudson’s appointment comes as ACE recently expanded its political risk and credit division to East Asia in Japan, providing Japanese customers with comprehensive trade credit insurance solutions.

“I am delighted that [Hudson] is going to lead our global trade credit business. Since he joined our team in 2007, he has played an important role in making ACE a global market leader in political risk and credit insurance solutions,” said Julian Edwards, who is the Head of Political Risk & Credit for ACE Global Markets.

“His wide experience in areas like new product development and distribution combined with his market knowledge, will contribute greatly to our effort to provide our clients with the comprehensive and secure, long-term trade credit solutions they need to confront today’s complex global challenges,” Edwards told Business Wire.

Operating in 54 countries, ACE specializes in personal accident insurance, supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance, and personal/commercial property and casualty insurance.
