Specialized wholesale insurance agent Across America Insurance Services, Inc. has expanded its partnership with White Oak Underwriting Agency for a new underwriting authority that will be placed through Lloyd’s broker Amwins Global Risks.
Speaking on the development, Across America CEO Harish Kapur expounded on how the arrangement will be beneficial to its operations.
“Since Across America opened its doors, Amwins Global Risks, has been a key partner in placing business and guiding Across America through the complexities of the London market. This shift in our relationship will increase the benefits to our insureds, giving us the authority to swiftly underwrite and bind coverage, as well as process endorsements,” said Kapur.
With the expanded partnership, the firm will be able to better access the London market in order to insure large fleets.
The expanded nine-year underwriting relationship between Across America and White Oak Underwriting Agency will allow the insurance agent to have a delegated authority in the London market when it comes to commercial physical damage and motor truck cargo liability. Across America will also be able to handle all claims in house, which will allow a faster response and processing time to its clients in order to have trucks return to the road quickly.
The market insights of transportation specialty leaders such as Kapur, Amwins Global Risks US Transportation Division managing director Jon Humphreys, and White Oak Underwriting Agency chief underwriting officer Lisa Perry will also be brought together by the arrangement.
“We thank White Oak and Amwins Global Risk for their trust in Across America’s industry expertise and we look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship for years to come,” said Kapur.
Humphreys said he was glad to have the opportunity to join the trading venture of both Across America and White Oak, which he considered to be “heavyweights” in the commercial trucking industry.
“Exciting times lay on the road ahead and I can’t wait to see where this journey involving three innovative companies takes us,” said Humphreys.
