Networked Insurance Agents has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Allstate Foundation Independent Agency Hands in the Community Grant in honor of the group’s community involvement and volunteer work. The grant will go to the Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Coalition, which offers resources and services for those recovering from the effects of interpersonal violence.

The Allstate Foundation offers several grant programs to support charitable organizations where agents and agency employees volunteer. The group awards one grant per state, with Networked and the DVSAC the recipients for California.

Networked President and CEO George Biancardi discussed the group’s outlook on volunteer work and the winning of the grant.

“Networked employees value the opportunity to volunteer because we believe in empowering communities to thrive,” Biancardi said in a statement. “It’s wonderful that Allstate supports that mission with the Agency Hands in the Community Award and its Allstate Foundation.

“We are honored to be recognized, but most importantly, we are thrilled that the DVSAC will receive $1,000 to continue its important work in the Grass Valley-area.”
DVSAC Associate Director, Beth Bordner, praised Network as “an active supporter in many ways, for which we are so grateful.”

Founded in 1993 and based in Grass Valley, California, Networked Insurance Agents is an independent agency network for property/casualty firms. The group serves more than 1,000 affiliate members in 10 Western states and is appointed by more than 50 national and regional insurance carriers.
