Robert Pinkerton, according to Kansas Insurance Commissioner’s office, is no longer suited to be an insurance agent, and the Office has revoked his license.

No worries. He’ll just run for the legislature.

Pinkerton, who was with State Farm from 2000 until this summer, when he was terminated, has announced his candidacy for the Kansas Legislature.

According to the Commissioner’s Office, his license was revoked as a result of misappropriating premiums and falsifying documents. Specifically, the order states that he “engaged in a pattern of dishonest conduct and demonstrated untrustworthiness and financial irresponsibility in managing the insurance business of consumers.”

More specifically, the order of revocation says he accepted premiums from a client but then failed to secure insurance. When they suffered a loss, rather than tell them they didn’t have insurance, he falsified invoices and submitted them with the claims of other insureds.

Pinkerton, chairman of the Phillips County Republicans is seeking to represent the 110th House District in northwest Kansas. If selected, he would replace someone who recently resigned, and the successor will be chosen by a Republican Party committee.

Whether he is selected or not, he has said he intends to get a real estate license.
