Alliant Insurance Services has acquired The LifeBalance Program, a wellbeing discount services company based in Portland, OR.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands the suite of products and services of Alliant’s employee benefits group while providing the company’s clients and their employees a more cost-effective option, a release said. Following the deal’s closure, the entire LifeBalance team will join Alliant and continue serving clients nationwide.

LifeBalance Program, founded in 1996, helps design customized discount employee benefits programs for companies and associations. The company also maintains a savings platform for health plan members, giving them access to exclusive discounts on health-related activities and purchases.

“LifeBalance is a unique program that has long been dedicated to helping employers offer diverse discounts and services that enable employees to strike an all-important balance between their work and home life,” said Alliant chairman and CEO Tom Corbett.

“LifeBalance believes that happiness and fulfillment are found when we stick to one guiding principle: Never get so busy making a living that you never make a life,” remarked LifeBalance senior vice-president Erin Kennedy. “Teaming up with Alliant aligns us with an organization that shares this ideal and will enable us to further expand our reach and impact as we endeavor to create a healthier, happier workforce nationwide.”
