Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of an insurance veteran to a senior executive role.

Long-time property and casualty insurance (P&C) leader William Callahan has joined Alliant as senior vice president. Based in New York, the insurance veteran will provide a full range of insurance and risk management solutions to Alliant’s diverse portfolio of clients.

“Bill is regarded for his ability to listen closely to his clients’ needs and respond with highly customized risk and insurance solutions across a range of verticals,” said Bob Bennetsen, executive vice president and senior managing director at Alliant.

“His breadth of expertise and longstanding relationships will play a key role in our ongoing growth within the key strategic Northeast region.”

Callahan is a 30-year insurance veteran known for designing and delivering customized risk and insurance solutions that reduce liability, cut costs, and provide long-term strategic advantages to organizations. Throughout his distinguished career, he has worked with a wide and diverse range of clients with regional, national, and global operations.

Callahan joined Alliant after 20 years at international brokerage firm Willis Towers Watson, where he was most recently senior vice president within the New York office. Callahan earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Ithaca College.
