Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of Eric Edwards as senior vice president of its Alliant Americas division. Edwards will be based in New Orleans.

Edwards has more than two decades of industry experience. Prior to joining Alliant, he served as vice president at a global professional services firm.

Edwards holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and was a member of its 2003 NCAA National Championship football team. He also played in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals.

“Eric brings a range of capabilities to the team in New Orleans. He has the ability to build long and strong relationships with his clients by helping them meet their business objectives through comprehensive risk strategies,” said Bob Bennetsen, executive vice president and senior managing director at Alliant. “By getting involved and building trust, he is able to help his clients identify opportunities for long-term growth and sustainability.”

Edwards is the latest addition to Alliant’s roster. Last month, the company announced the appointment of Frank Verdi and Gerry Armbruster as vice presidents within its employee benefits group
