Allied American Underwriters (AAU), a division of USG Insurance Services, has announced the appointment of Curtis Kochman to the vice president post.

In his new capacity in the organization, Kochman will oversee daily operations, facilitate strategic development for the firm’s programs and specialty divisions with a specific focus on environmental insurance and workers’ compensation, among others.

A statement from the firm also said he will provide direction in optimizing new program opportunities while expanding its existing market base.

Kochman has 17 years of experience under his belt, through which he honed his expertise in program administration and skills in tapping the large workers’ compensation business line.

He previously served with Ascinsure Specialty Risk in Pennsylvania where he managed multimillion dollars’ worth of program business.

AAU’s newest executive earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University, where he majored in Communications in Applied Business. Kochman is also an active member of trade organizations.
