Major insurer Allstate Insurance is adding 1,000 sales jobs to its mid-Atlantic offices as a result of growing demand for financial products and services in the region.

Local media outlet WSLS 10 said in a report that the firm is specifically looking at adding to its ranks in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Virginia and West Virginia and is offering financial incentives to individuals who can refer qualified professionals to fill in the 1,105 sales posts.

“The region’s strong economy is fueling our expansion in the mid-Atlantic states. We are  seeing increased consumer demand for auto and home insurance as well as financial advice and planning,” Jennifer Yingling, Allstate recruiting director for the capital region in the report.
