On July 12, American Family Insurance—in a joint release with Atlanta United FC—announced that it has signed a multiyear partnership with the soccer club. Through the deal, American Family will be recognized as the Official Insurance Partner of Atlanta United, with the insurer’s logo featured prominently on the first team’s jerseys.

This is American Family Insurance’s first MLS jersey sponsorship. The insurer sponsors other teams across different other sports such as NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers.

Through the partnership, both organizations will also cooperate to create the American Family Insurance Dream Tryout—Atlanta United’s first team tryout tour. The tour will consist of four events across the southeast, allowing aspirant athletes the opportunity to tryout for the Atlanta United first team, reported Yahoo! Finance.

“Today’s announcement marks another major defining moment for our club,” remarked Atlanta United president Darren Eales. “We could not be happier that American Family Insurance will not only be the Official Insurance Partner of Atlanta United, but also the Official Jersey Sponsor for Atlanta United. It’s a partnership that works on many levels including similar organizational values and a strong commitment to community. We look forward to introducing the American Family Insurance brand to MLS and global soccer audiences.”

“American Family Insurance is proud to be a partner to the greater Atlanta community and now Atlanta United,” stated American family Insurance CMO Telisa Yancy. “We are confident this partnership with Atlanta United and Mercedes-Benz Stadium will inspire players, prospective players and fans who come to this stadium to pursue fearless dreams in all areas of their lives.”
