American Family Insurance is launching a new program it calls DreamKeep Rewards, which makes its pilot debut in Illinois. The program will allow the insurance company’s customers to earn rewards for taking steps toward improving personal safety.

Through DreamKeep Rewards, customers earn points for performing things such as checking the tire pressure of their vehicles, offering to be a designated driver for others, replacing the hose of their washing machine, and more.

Customers can then redeem their points for various rewards, such as gift cards and items related to personal safety such as smoke alarms and the like.

Those who sign up for the program also earn points through the auto, property, motorcycle, boat, and umbrella policies they have through American Family Insurance.

“Customers who take small, proactive steps to reduce risk and increase safety certainly get peace of mind, but we believe they should also be rewarded for those activities,” explained DreamKeep Rewards program manager Ann Muehl.

Muehl added that the program is American Family Insurance’s way of showing its commitment toward “providing added value, supporting [its] customers and protecting their dreams.”

Illinois was chosen as the first state to enjoy the program as many of American Family Insurance’s customers in the region possess most of the company’s products.
