Aims to improve transparency in personal injury settlements

Healthcare finance firm Ametros Financial has launched a new service aimed at improving transparency in the pricing processes involved in the settlement of personal injury cases, particularly in liability and workers’ compensation.

CareQuote will be run by a dedicated team of professionals who will provide post settlement pricing for home-based healthcare, skilled facility, and high quality medical equipment services to injured parties.

The service aims to provide value by helping the parties involved in a settlement to project the future cost of care.

Ametros allows parties to a settlement to determine the pricing of a range of medical services prior to settlement, as well as enabling parties to lock in on the cost of home based healthcare and skilled facility services several years after a settlement, protecting them from price fluctuations.

CareQuote helps increase transparency into future medical expenses, and provides parties with a full view of the true costs of treatments and services prior to settlement negotiations.

Mediators, plaintiffs, and defendants can use the tool to address settlement gaps, Ametros also said.

Ametros has interests in Medicare Set-Asides (MSAs) administration and other non-MSA custodial accounts, as well as property and casualty insurance, healthcare, legal, financial and technology industries. Clarion Capital Partners, a private equity firm, is an investor.
