Arcus Syndicate 1856 has announced the appointment of Nick James as underwriting manager for North American property treaty.

Prior to joining Arcus 1856, James served as managing director for property treaty at Markel International. He has also served as property treaty underwriter at Ace Tempest and worked in the broking sector at both Aon and Guy Carpenter as an international property treaty broker.

Having worked as both an underwriter and broker during that time, he has great technical knowledge coupled with a clear understanding of the needs of brokers and insureds.”
