Ascinsure Specialty Risk has promoted Steve Keinard to the role of assistant vice-president & underwriting manager.
In his new role, Keinard will lead Ascinsure’s underwriting team “ensuring the department’s efficiency and quality continues to meet company standards,” a release said.
Keinard joined Ascinsure in January 2018 as a senior underwriter, bringing more than 30 years of insurance and underwriting experience. Before joining Ascinsure, he held senior positions with Travelers, Discover Re, and Chubb. He is also a graduate of Penn State University and possesses insurance designations including CPCU, ARM, and ARe.
“Steve’s depth of knowledge, underwriting experience, and ability to manage a winning team are exactly what Ascinsure needs at this critical time,” said senior vice-president Michael Goff. “He was a great addition to the Ascinsure family and made it a short search filling this extremely important position.”
A release said that “Keinard’s promotion comes at a time of rapid organic growth for Ascinsure.”
