Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced the appointment of Andy Barberis as senior vice president of claims. In his new role, Barberis will work with the BHSI claims leadership team across the world on the most catastrophic and complex casualty and healthcare claims.
“With BHSI’s steady expansion around the globe, we are pleased to expand the depth of the leadership team delivering on our fundamental commitment – ‘claims is our product’ – worldwide,” said Dave Crowe, chief global claims officer at BHSI. “Andy is a well-known and well-respected industry veteran, and his exceptional technical expertise will be of great benefit to our customers.”

Barberis has 35 years of commercial claims experience. Prior to joining BHSI, he spent 23 years at AIG, where he served as global claim officer. He holds a law degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
Barberis is based in BHSI’s New York office.
