California-based risk management and insurance services company Burnham Risk has announced the appointment of Sara Owens as chief operating officer and partner.
Owens has nearly 15 years of industry experience, with particular expertise in business and corporate development and risk management strategy. Owens serves in a dual role as vice president of corporate development at Burnham Benefits and COO at Burnham Risk.
“Sara’s experience with benefits and property and casualty is unique because she is able to identify and handpick the right talent from each segment by having a deep understanding of benefits, risk management, and property and casualty,” said Kristen Allison, president and CEO of Burnham Benefits. “With Sara in these roles, we will have someone to look over corporate development while maximizing Burnham Benefits, Burnham Risk and Burnham Gibson.
