Burns & Wilcox has expanded its Pittsburgh office to accommodate its growing team and revenue.

The insurer’s Pittsburgh employee base has relocated to the third floor of The Bentley – a brand new, solar-powered office high-rise in the city’s Greentree district.

“As Burns & Wilcox continues to grow, it is important to frequently reinvest in the offices and people that are a vital part of this success,” said Alan Jay Kaufman, chairman, president, and CEO of H.W. Kaufman Financial Group and Burns & Wilcox. “With 25 years in the Pittsburgh area, the company continues to show its strength, tenacity, and expertise of specialty insurance within Pennsylvania.”

Burns & Wilcox plans to continue hiring at a high pace at its successful Pennsylvania base. The Pittsburgh office specializes in insurance for large manufacturers and contractors, professional liability and personal insurance. In the past year, the office has increased its personal insurance revenue by double digits.

The recruiting efforts and strategic direction of the office are headed by Daniel J. Kaufman, senior vice president, Burns & Wilcox, and Linda M. Bobro, vice president and managing director.

“The new Pittsburgh location provides an open and inviting concept, ideal for millennial talent recruitment – as the best new insurance professionals want to be in places with walkable amenities, sustainability, and stunning views,” said Daniel J. Kaufman. “To further progress this office, we will continue to invest in developing enthusiastic individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset.”
