Confie Seguros, an insurance brokerage based in Huntington Beach, CA, has purchased two Williamsville, NY insurance firms. The financial institution says it is looking to expand its presence in the Western New York area.

The two firms were Schmitt & Kraft and Dunlap & Bajak, two independent personal lines agencies that were founded in 1970. The agencies are Confie’s 14th and 15th acquisitions in the Buffalo area.

Outside of New York, Confie also bought its 29th agency in Alabama—TS Insurance Group, with five locations—and All Florida Insurance Group in Green Acres, FL. The two agencies specialize in non-standard car insurance.

Confie focuses on personal lines and serving Hispanic consumers. “We continue to be very active in acquiring agencies and… integrating them into the Confie portfolio,” said CEO Valeria Rico. In addition to looking for quality businesses, she said “we also focus on the cultural fit of the company and its people to ensure Confie’s ongoing growth and cohesiveness as an organization.”

Confie was founded in 2008 as an industry consolidator. To date, it has over 670 retail locations and earns $470 million in annual revenues. In total, it has consolidated 97 businesses since it was established. Confie is a portfolio company of ABRY Partners.
