The Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) has again recommended Chubb to its members as its preferred global property and casualty insurer.

The organization extended for three years its endorsement of Chubb, which had provided information that helped CCIA members protect their property and employees around the world.

"The Chubb team's understanding of the challenges and risks associated with clean technology development and deployment, and their commitment to the industry has truly benefited CCIA's member companies,” said CCIA executive director Chris Shapard.

Founded in 2008, the CCIA is a state-wide organization promoting Colorado’s clean tech industry, which includes renewable energy manufacturers and providers along with products and services that make energy production and distribution systems more efficient.

In 2014, the group also endorsed Chubb as its favoured provider of global property and casualty insurance solutions for its members.

Before that endorsement, Chubb formed a clean tech team of underwriters and loss control specialists in 2011 to address the unique and rapidly-changing risk management needs of clean tech manufacturers, distributors and service providers worldwide.

Martin Kunz, Chubb assistant vice president and clean tech executive field underwriter, said the global insurer is looking forward to its continued relationship with CCIA.

“In the years ahead, we expect to continue to offer CCIA's members the full breadth of insurance protection and loss prevention programs that specifically address their exposure to litigation and other types of loss,” Kunz said.
