CNA appoints Dino Robusto as chief executive

New man at the helm steps out of retirement to join the company

CNA Financial has appointed Dino Robusto as its new chairman and chief executive officer.

In his capacity as executive committee chair, he will lead strategy, results and oversight for all business units of CNA Financial.
 
Robusto retired from the Chubb Corporation in November last year, where he occupied the seat of president of commercial and specialty lines of Chubb Group of Insurance Companies and executive vice president of the parent company. There, he also led the firm’s global information technology initiatives having been with Chubb since 1986.
 
He earned a degree in commerce, finance and economics from McGill University in Montreal. He also completed the Wharton Business School Executive Management Program in 1999.
 
In the CNA announcement, Robusto expressed his honor and excitement at joining the firm.
