Confie, a national personal lines insurance provider, has announced its acquisition of Fair Price Insurance, a specialty auto insurance agency based in the Bronx, New York City. This is Confie’s second agency acquisition in the Bronx; the company acquired auto insurance provider R&R&R Brokerage in June of last year.

According to Confie, Fair Price Insurance’s location will provide an opportunity for greater market penetration in the region. The company said it was “very bullish” about its acquisition pipeline for 2008.

The two Bronx acquisitions aren’t the only agency purchases the company has made in the state recently. In October, Confie announced the acquisitions of Schmitt & Kraft and Dunlap & Bajak, both independent agencies in the Greater Buffalo area. Confie has acquired 15 Buffalo-area agencies since 2012.

“We continue to be very active in acquiring attractive agencies and successfully integrating them into the Confie portfolio,” said Confie CEO Valeria Rico. “A key component in our measured approach of identifying potential targets is evaluating the quality of the business, but we also focus on the cultural fit of the company and its people to ensure Confie's ongoing growth and cohesiveness as an organization.”

Also in October, Confie acquired insurance brokers in Alabama and Florida. The company has acquired and integrated more than 97 businesses since its inception, according to a press release.
