CoreLogic has announced the appointment of Matt Carlson (pictured) as its general manager of benchmarking solutions. In his new role, Carlson will assume overall responsibility for CoreLogic’s business benchmarking product, Comparator. He will also head up the provision of insights and services to the wealth, government and broking industries.

Carlson takes over from Sarah Brennan, Paul McGivern, and James Hastie, who supported the business transition after CoreLogic acquired Comparator in 2013.

Carlson has two decades of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to taking his new role, he spent four years leading the operational, strategy and sales divisions at CoreLogic. He’s also held several senior roles in leadership, third-party and intermediary distribution, operations, product development and strategy.

Carlson will be supported by the existing Comparator team, including senior managers Colin Williams (wealth), Huy Vu (retail banking and broking) and Tane Mitchell (superannuation, platforms and life).

Comparator, a data research and benchmarking tool, is currently used by more than 100 clients, who utilize it to receive actionable insights and data to help benchmark their businesses.
