Crawford & Company, the world’s largest publicly listed independent provider of claims management and outsourcing to insurance brokers, has announced the appointment of a new senior vice president and a new partnership with Frontline Insurance.

Crawford has named Jack Schafer senior vice president and chief client officer for US loss adjusting. Shafer will report to Rohit Verma, Crawford’s global chief operating officer.

In his new role, Schafer will help unify the company’s business development efforts across its US loss adjusting services, consisting of business development teams from Crawford Claims Solutions (CCS), Global Technical Services (GTS), and Contractor Connection (CCC).

“Jack Schafer truly exemplifies Crawford’s vision to be the leading provider and most trusted source for expert assistance,” Verma said. “Throughout his long career with Crawford, he has used his industry expertise to build effective, cohesive teams for our clients.”

Schafer has been with Crawford for 23 years and has held multiple leadership roles in the company.

“Crawford has been on a trajectory of growth, with many opportunities to expand in new and existing markets,” Verma said. “Under Jack’s leadership, we will continue to outpace our competitors while delivering on our mission to restore and enhance lives, businesses and communities.”

The company also announced that it has been named Frontline Insurance’s exclusive provider for catastrophe claims. Crawford’s Catastrophe Services has managed global and domestic disasters for more than 50 years.

“We are thrilled to partner with Frontline to continue to enhance its customer experience,” said Ken Tolson, US president of CCS. “With award-winning innovations like our Total Property solution and ability to scale quickly based on need, we can aid Frontline in successfully managing customer losses so that they can remain focused on delivering the highest value and service to its customers.

“Crawford & Company is an industry leader in driving innovative solutions that solve real-world problems,” said Westley McCall, Frontline’s chief innovation officer. “We know that Crawford has the experience, knowledge and resources to ensure our customers receive unmatched quality and rapid response.”

“We are committed to restoring and enhancing lives, businesses and communities, and our partnership with Frontline will allow us to offer support when their customers need it most,” Verma said.
