CRC Group, a nationwide wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products, has announced the appointment of Alex Bonds as chief programs officer – property programs. In this role, Bonds (pictured) will lead the Insurisk brand’s property facility development.

Prior to joining CRC Group, Bonds served at Aspen Insurance, where he was responsible for managing the property underwriting team in the Atlanta office. Before Aspen, Bonds spent nearly 10 years with AIG, serving in a variety of roles in London and the US, including leader for the North American oil and petrochemical segment.

“Alex has strong relationships, both internationally and domestically, and is recognized for his technical knowledge and background,” said Neil Kessler, president and COO of CRC Group. “We have a solid suite of Insurisk property products today, and bringing Alex onto the team will allow us to further build out our exclusive property capacity more quickly.”

The appointment shows an increased investment by CRC Group in its Insurisk product strategy, the company said. CRC Group launched the Insurisk brand in March 2019. The company currently offers 13 exclusive Insurisk products spanning property and casualty and executive and professional lines.

“For 2021, we have a robust pipeline of products coming to market across property and other lines of business that will continue to bring value to our customers,” Kessler said.
