District Attorney David Linn of Madera County, CA is facing a censure from the county’s supervisors as new evidence surfaces that portrays him threatening an insurance agent.

The Board of Supervisors voted earlier this week to censure District Attorney David Linn for “workplace harassment, discrimination and abuse.”  Linn allegedly made racially and sexually offensive comments to his staff.

On top of his workplace harassment charges, new evidence suggests that Linn had also threatened his insurance agent.

The Fresno Bee reported that an undated recording has recently surfaced in which Linn told his insurance agent to call him immediately about an issue regarding his policy.

“If you don’t do that, then I’m going to have to send an investigator out with some handcuffs and lock you up and bring you back here to Madera County and talk to you in a little room for a while,” the District Attorney was heard saying in the recording.

When asked about the recording on Wednesday, Linn said that he does not remember making the call, but his remarks were with humor and in frustration due to the issues with his policy. He also questioned whether the recording was obtained illegally.
